About Save-A-Limb Fund

One in 125 children is born with a limb deficiency. Many of these children undergo amputation because they do not have the resources to travel to a specialist and pay for limb lengthening surgery.

The Save-A-Limb Fund was established in 2001 with the goal of advancing patient care and support in the fight to save limbs from amputation and to preserve joints.

The Purposes of the fund is four fold:
  1. To invest in and acquire, resources and technologies that directly benefit the advancement and quality of care to all patients.
  2. To provide financial support to special needs patients who could not otherwise afford limb and joint saving care.
  3. To provide educational and social therapeutic activities to children who suffer from limb deformities.
  4. To financially support new research programs with the intention of helping save limbs and joints.
